Trio On Run After Robbing CT Shop At Gunpoint: Police

Police in Connecticut are on the hunt for three men who allegedly robbed a smoke shop at gunpoint, making off with cash and goods.

The incident occurred in New Haven County around 7 p.m.,  Saturday, June 29, at Moe's Smoke Shop at 213 Pershing Drive in Ansonia.

According to Lt. Patrick Lynch of the Ansonia Police, an investigation revealed that a store clerk reported that a man approached the shop's door. 

As the clerk opened the door, two other men entered the shop armed with handguns and proceeded to rob the store.

The suspects stole several hundred dollars in cash and about $1,000 in merchandise, Lynch said.

Lynch said the suspects were all described as young black men. The first man was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, white sweatpants, black and white sneakers, white and black gloves, and armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.

The second man was wearing a black Nike hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, white and gray sneakers, purple gloves, and armed with a silver revolver. 

The third man was wearing a black and red jacket, gray jeans, and gray sneakers.

A possible suspect vehicle was described as a blue Honda sedan parked near Pershing Drive and Bridge Street.
